Garmin Oregon 300 with OS maps here, a lot like the dakota but bigger and fair bit heavier, does the job very well. I bought a couple of mounts off ebay for around £2 and they attach with two zip ties and are really solid, just slides on to the back of the GPS.

Pinnacle Ramin if you want a cheap 29er. Karl Booth was in the top 5 for BB200 last year on one. Geax AKA tyres, bit worried about the tread (or lack of it) compared to old tyres but after a short ride in some slick conditions they preformed much better than expected

So the on one would be better, 470mm long, 45mm offset?jameso wrote:450mm long and 38mm offset is odd for a 29er fork, more like trad 26" fork for 100mm sus corrected geo, or a non sus corrected 29er.
