Bit of a thread resurrection - is there any news on how well these work after 2-3 months use? Are they better with a battery or not? And are they really as waterproof as their website pic claims?

I have used it a couple of times of month since I got mine and have no complaints what so ever.
I always use it with a battery because I have a Garmin Edge 800 and don't want to keep being told that external power has gone/is back each time I slow down speed up. Also (this is the main useful thing) it means I can then recharge stuff when not on the bike.

Defo think it's worthwhile getting a buffer battery to charge during the day and then charge phones etc. during non-riding time.
If I just plug in my iPhone, it'll beep every time it starts charging which is rather annoying when the current drops below the minimum charging rate due to slowness on the hills.

Talking about this with Mark on a training ride last night
Whether on not the revo comes out on the bb200 will depend on the course as not convinced that at low off road speeds it is a viable alternative to a spare battery for a normal head or bar light
I have a kemo unit linked to a Garmin 800 . At usual off road / mixed terrain it will keep it more or less charged up but wouldn't want to charge something up from dead on stop start Peak district type routes
Works so well on the road / cx bike though

I've ordered one now, hopefully should be here in a week or two. Let's see how I get on with it. I'll likely have a visit to Maplins for a small battery too.
