I think I may have finally (for now) found it, I slept on it last night at home and found it brilliant once it was deflated from maximum a little.
My pillow of choice was the large THE SEA TO SUMMIT AEROS PREMIUM PILLOW weighing in at 114g for the large and costing now around £34.99,
It was great for a side sleeper like me but still moved around at night.
At home I use the IKEA ROSENSKÄRM Ergonomic Pillow which is shaped for side sleeping

And it works really well for me.
But for camping I've always struggled to get to sleep especially on the first night.
Then the Flextail Cozy Pillow popped up with a free delivery and a discount code for just over £14 on my Facebook feed so I thought I'd give it a try.

It's double to triple the weight of my other pillows and a larger packed size too, but if it gives me a better sleep and recovery while I'm out it's got to be a win.
I'll use it at home for a couple more nights to get the pressure right (when low the TPU membrane does make a slight crinkling sound when you move.
And before I trip I'll use it for 2 or 3 nights at home to get used to it again.

So fingers crossed to a better sleep when away for 2025
