breakfast at hart side the long way round

My dad and i descided to set off after work to gregs hut on friday night , a couple of hours of up hill slog with post holing through snow And we were there. We had carried up some coal and wood as well as a stew that had been made by my mum and vacuum bagged for us !
The bothy was ok , fairly basic but a good stove in the same room as the sleeping platform so warm which was good as it was below freezing overnight!

Set off the next day down the other side which was a ice descent down a snow covered estate road in the sunshine. Then back up the road to hart side café for there big breakfast! very good !
Down the by way to the bottom and back along the back roads to the car… good mini trip out for breakfast!
