Capital Trail

Post by Chicken Legs »

I am planning on riding the Capital Trail Wednesday/Thursday prior to the Shindig and was looking for somewhere close to
the start to leave my car, any ideas ?

Start the Capital Trail in Balerno as it means you don't need to head so far East to finish before going back to Glasgow. This also has the benefit that Edinburgh, and crucially the Royal Mile, will be empty of tourists as you pass early in the morning. The bothy at Minch Moor is also reached at a reasonable time to make the stop there worthwhile if you're doing it over two days.

There's on street parking near mine, PM me for address details.

Good bit of advice in all ways I'd say.
