Mine's going right well
Only 2 months to go, so have you been getting the miles in or are you just going to wing it and hope for the best? You'll probably be happy to hear that I'm steadily weeding out any of 'those' bits from the route although there'll still be a few short sections ... it really wouldn't be the BB200 without the odd tussock

Um. Last night I drank a bottle of wine. I went for a ride this morning with a headache. My MTB is singlespeed now. Def ready!
Stu, how much of the route is rideable this year?

Hand on heart, I can honestly say that 10% will be the absolute minimum

Hey Gabe - is that how you did the rail trail? :)
Prep is going ok...knees are holding up somewhat. Heres hoping that they don't crap out in the meantime.

It's important to get something to match your bike - no?

Well, before this weekend I was down 18lbs on when I did WRT... but I had a bit of fun this weekend (no-one is perfect!) so that's now at 10lbs.
Talking of planning. I really need to find a B&B or something so I'm not driving 3 hours in the morning to get there. =/

He didn't say whether that was gaining or losing though, Dave...

promises, promises. It was a drinking challenge prior to the YD300
My prep is going well currently but I think the exertions of Rays Borders 350 (which is imperial and actually 540km!) may interfere with my training!

I usually stop in Oswestry/Shrewsbury at the Travelodge and grab a fry-up in Newtown Tesco on the way in.
*edit* Which conveniently reminded me I hadn't booked myself....quidco cashback and QY17982G discount code for Travelodge

Grabbed a B&B in Mach, gives me a chance to chill the night before and not have too far to travel on the day.

Oh, and in the vain hope of actually finishing, I've just found an 8 week plan on TrainerRoad (that I've lopped a week off) which might help me.

I've perfected a method on intravenously consuming pies on the move, so I'm about set.
Apart from just awaiting the the imminent news on the BB Trekkertent.... (C'mon Stu, let's end the suspense!)
