Decided I need to stop thinking and get doing! This route has been on my list for a while now and am planning on heading out ~ 7th August. The book says 7 days and I ideally would like to camp it along the way. Would be good to have some company. If you do fancy it please let me know as I want to get flights booked soon.
Flight to Innsbruck is around £100 + the £50 for the bike. The logistics of getting the bike back having abandoned the cardboard box at Innsbruck is the bit I am still trying to work out.
Albrecht Route next few weeks?

If there's a bike shop in Innsbruck, ring 'em and see if they have any spare boxes that you could have for the return leg.
I've just done something similar getting Lois back from the US.

That's a good idea. I'll get researching cycle shops in Innsbruck.

Re: Albrecht Route next few weeks?
I bikepacked it in 2011 and it's a lovely little trip.
The first day is uninspiring but don't worry, it gets much better!
I hope you have better weather than I did.
Would love to join you but work/life/kids etc... won't allow it.
If you've got any questions or want any info I might be able to help with then just ask.
Enjoy!
