Naming bikes

Following on from a Facebook fat bike post, it appears some people name their bikes. So, what have you named your bikes?

For the record, I've find this practice odd (or maybe I'm boring!)

I call my krampus, the krampus, although I do sometime refer to it a the leviathan

I'm just like that. Hence each bike must be by a different manufacturer

Now, cars on the other hand....

Yup...me 'n Mrs Scattamah name all our bikes. But then again, we're probably considered odd, too.

Currently with me on this side of the pond are Kadey (my Cadex - obvious where that came from) and Lois (my Superfly). Lois came about from my mechanic saying it needed a name...he suggested Clark (derived from the "Super" part of the name). I told him I wouldn't feel comfortable riding a Clark, but I'd ride Lois all day long. It stuck.

Mrs Scattamah has Ursa (a Marin hybrid), Kalii (my other, lighter Cadex which she appropriated) and Sheila (Greenspeed GTS - Australian made and an obvious choice).

Only ever had one bike that had a name bit I did not name it. My girlfriend at the time named my tandem "Tallulah".

When I had Singular bikes, they were called after their model names:
Swift/ Peg'/ Kite
The Puffin is the only exception, which just gets referred to as the Fat Bike.

The Shand or The 29er (as it doesn't have a specific model name)

For cars:

The van
The car

My touring bike is called the truck, the road bike is the Jag. Bikepacking bike is called the pony

Many moons ago I had a friend, who named his road and mountain bikes
Groover and Flinger respectively.
According to the effect they had on manure when ridden through it at speed.

My names:
FSR
Stumpy HT
UJ. (Planet X uncle John)
29er. (Planet X Dirty Harry)
Ribble

Her names:
Old one
Blue one
New one
Black one
Nice one

I guess it's down to how we think - she obviously thinks a lot of my bikes. But if I get another bike I just need to make sure it fits one of the above descriptions.....

Speed fox - Its real name, 29 susser for the distance
Butcher - Genius LT, tech trails and summits and shuttle days (no race courses - that's stuff for the rocket)
Chubby chubber or just one of both - witjira fat bike

I've had lilly, isis, turbo bambi, captain and other bikes. My girlfriend knows the names and has her own for her bikes too.
We do give them a soul by riding. After all we're soul riders... yeahhh.... wicked!

My Singlespeed Rigid is called Steamroller, my roadie before I sold it was called Rigid Reenie, and my Meta 5 before it was stolen was called Bouncing Bob.

Never named a bike by Little Miss just named our new van. She called it Stan. Stan the Van ... yuk yuk

Although not a pushbike ... I remember that one of our drag bikes was called 'Suspect Device'*. We even had it painted up like a big parcel, brown paper, string, stamps the full works.

*When you're banging in 200hp of nitrous on top of a normally aspirated 200hp, the name's quite apt

What section tyre did you have to use to harness 400bhp (at the crank I assume?) through one wheel onto tarmac?
