Cheapest way to try 29+ front

So I would like to give 29+ front a go on my lurcher to see what it's all about. I have a Fargo v2 rigid fork will one fit in that you reckon? What's the cheapest way I can try it out?

(Blatantly testing the water to see if some one would lone me a spare front wheel...)

Yeah, it'll fit. My mate runs Knards on Crests. Travers has a blog post showing the tyre isnt *that* much smaller than on a wide rim.

I wouldnt run 3.0 knards on a crest personally.

35mm and they will run fine, but not quite as nice as on 45 / 50 mm rims

I have a spare 27tpi knard you can borrow if your willing to cover the cost of postage, could even be persuaded to sell it if you like it

your rims are only 30mm external, so 23-25mm internal, way too narrow for knards.

I have run Knards on Stans Crest rims without any issues (on the trail) but I did find that the area just above the bead did start to wear and small holes became visible (stans fluid bubbles out) These soon sealed with a spin of the wheel and I didn't notice much drop in pressure over the next couple of weeks. I did return to wider rims...my nice new carbon ones just to give me a bit more peace of mind, plus you can run them a lower pressures.

I take the point though that they are still probably a bit narrow.

29er Nimbus dominator rims are 42mm wide and 35 quid from unicycle.co.uk if you want to try a wide rim on the cheap(er)

I've run a Knard on a Crest and it's OK as a try-out but I wouldn't want to run less than 15psi and it's not a long-term solution IMO.
