Press release is out and a few geometry numbers mentioned also - pretty out there, in a good way. Very slack with loads of rake, an amount that only a truss fork could handle perhaps. Sounds fairly mental tbh. Look forward to trying one out. Not sure if I'd get much from 29+ where I do most of my Jonesing but interested to know if it'd be a better 'packer than my steel diamond bike. The longer wheelbase of the Jones Plus makes me think the original geo could make a better all-rounder, but we'll see.

Although I have had my reservations over 29+ (not ridden one though), I have always thought they look quite cool. This is the first one that has actually made me want to look a bit further into it.

I saw the Maxxis Chronicles again at Eurobike - they're 'kin huge. Interested to try 29+ much more now as previously I'd not seen any 29+ bikes with the geo/design that could get me off my current Jones, the tyres looked promising but wouldn't make up for the (imo) loss of handling or fit. ie the added volume would be nice but not essential. The Jones Plus bike changes that. I still think I'd ding rims when riding somewhere rocky and loaded up, but a 780mm+ OD tyre with that sort of contact patch should be pretty smooth.

Sounds like Jeff didn't hold back on this one. The whole bike seems changed to account for what he thinks the tyres can add to the ride, the front end geometry is groundbreaking stuff. It's not just tyre clearance!

It does look rather good. I wonder how 'affordable' the price will be.

I've never really got the whole one size fits all thing but jeff certainly seems to think things through. I'd love to try one.

"Jones Plus overnight bikepacking ride, 29+" video just up! Looks pretty nice. What are the fork mounted bags can anyone see? Is it the monkii pod thing? Looks like they carry more than I thought, if they are..

Glad you liked it - I liked the music especially, after 10 seconds thinking it was 'swagger like jagger'

Forks bags are custom by Porcelain Rocket - get them on the Jones site.
Worth checking bikepackersmagazine as well - they just did a review of porcelain rocket bags to fit salsa anything cages

Offered in a 24" and 25"

Anyone have any idea how these would equate to more traditional sized frames?

FLV, the 24 'plus' bike is said to size up like the std 23, so 5'8 to 6ft or so it seems. The 23 feels great to me at 6', compact but very comfy and er, chuckable etc. Eg like an 18 or so maybe, similar in some ways to my old chameleon in a L that I used to ride xc and jumps on. That was a long 17.5 and basically the same as a M cotic soul. Cant see me riding either of those for all day xc now tho.

Good info ta. I'm 5ft 11 and have always found myself in between size I feel comfy on.
18"kona
19 / L Santa Cruz
19 / L salsa el mar
A Medium krampus of a pals I tried recently feels too small.

And so on. I generally prefer a slightly larger frame for Xc and long rides

But the Spaceframe is a very different beast to the 29er+

My Spaceframe is the smaller one, but my Travers 29er+ is a large and both fit me perfectly for different types of riding
I'm 5'8" with a 31" inside leg

Jones has blogged this morning about WTB 27.5 x 2.8 tyre nicely fits standard Jones and makes a good option for smaller riders to ride 29+

Looks good to me (bike pic from mtbr site). They're about 725mm OD so not quite 29er size.

I believe the Jones 29+ proto is living at Keep Pedalling at present and available for demo.
