tarp poles?

So iv managed to get my mates old tent before he binned it for the poles n bug screen. Before I make the poles up to suit what size poles are u guys using to bicycle up ya tarp. I'm sure iv seen a thread before mention between 70-100mm or stu has mentioned it in conversation

The Pole-a-bear poles are 110cm + 70cm in standard trim. They were the most useful sizes I came up with after much experimentation (fannying about).
