Rab Sawtooth Jacket-Opinions

Post by firedfromthecircus »

I am looking to buy a lightweight softshell jacket and think the Rab Sawtooth might fit the bill. Anyone got any opinions on this or other recommendations?

It does not need to be cycle specific as whatever I buy will be worn off the bike too, but I would prefer hoodless. Don't want it to be too heavy or warm, but not super thin either. I already have an eVent shell, an ultralight pertex shell and a micro-fleece so it doesn't need to double up features to replace any of these. What say you gear gurus?

Also, how does Rab measure up on sizing? Don't have any Rab gear but I know what fits with Montane.

Rab stuff fits me nicely (although sometimes a bit long in the arm department, but that might have been just the one jacket and designed like that).

Montane upper body stuff doesn't really fit as well, had to send back a goose-down gilet because the cut just quite simply didn't fit me. Got a featherlight smock which is just about acceptable a fit - but wouldn't have bought it if it were my money.

(i'm fairly slim, tall upper body)

Hope that helps :|
