I wonder whether they've made this new version any bigger? I always thought they were a bit snug.

£100 seems expensive compared to something from the US but given that this is taped and the rrp might not actually reflect the price you pay, it could be a good choice ... just hope it's a bit roomier.

It dosnt seem so.

I have a moonlight and a disco light. both are very small.

I also wonder if they have made it waterproof. At least 2 of us on here have discovered the moonlight to be not so waterproof

I'd be looking to use it as a minimalist bag in summer for quick overnights with predictable conditions. As Stu suggests, i'd expect that in a couple of months it will be available for £60-£80 which makes it a viable option.

Couldn't find a receipt for it, got it on the cheap from field and trek who wouldnt take a return.

Its fine if there's no rain and stays dry from moist mist / dew. but not good enough for proper rain. I'll likely still use it in the more summery months as it weights bugger all.

I borrowed marks one and found it was ok in beading but soaked water from underneath. This is problematic as its sized to not fit a mat in.

My guess is that if it had a properly waterproof base it would be much better. It would still need to be kept clean and regularly reproofsed to keep it beading well.

Extrem-textil probably sell the fabric if any MYOG folk fancy trying it out...

Personally I wouldn't buy one. If you're going to use a tarp there are lighter, similar (and lighter, better!) bivys and if you're not using a tarp then you need something that is actually water proof.

I think that's what I meant Ian.
