hope hose stainless 5mm nuts/collars

Post by Mike »

So im changing my braided hose back to the black kevlar stuff, but i need 4 new smaller 5mm nuts as the braided is 6mm. Would anyone have any spare i can buy or does anyone know where i can get them from without buying the whole kit? Or could i use the 6mm ones and just leave the tiny tolerance, would this be detrimental. Surely the olive takes up the space??

Give Hope a call - they may even send you some for free - customer service is pretty good in my experience.

Don't bodge it - they're brakes - kind of important!

I once had a bike come in (motor) and wondered why the front brakes felt spongy ... on closer examination I discovered the owner had repaired a split in the brake hose with a couple of wraps of insulation tape

Like Steve says, give Hope a bell. They once gave me a full set of disc bolts for nothing, they're jolly nice.

What a bodge, I would have used self amalgamating tape
