Well, I collected my frame from the blasters today and strung it up in the rather makeshift 'spray booth' ... first coat of primer's on, so it might even be the right colour by weekend.

I also made a start on a new stand (a shopper needs a stand, right?). It'll be much lighter and prettier than the standard cast steel affair ... the first job was to replicate the standard stands pivot. This bit still needs to be steel otherwise it'll wear out in a weeks time, hopefully the carbon should be here tomorrow :geek:

Seeing as we've had no power for the last 24 hours I thought I'd do a bit more ont' shopper. The frame's now sporting it's first couple of top coats and I finished the carbon stand off ... comes in at 115g which is a bit better than the 335g of the standard one.

I'm liking this project too though it did make me start looking at moultons...till I saw the prices
