I have a Blacks Icelandic sleeping bag which was the emperor of bags in its day.
I bought it in the '70's from a tandem stoker whose pilot/husband had died.
I retired it in the late '80's for something lighter and it has been loose rolled since its last use. I expect the cotton casing is quite brittle by now but the duck down should be ok.
There is some information about the bag here: http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69334
I kept it because I thought of reusing the down to make a quilt or jacket. I tried it with a cheaper bag first and discovered that down gets everywhere in a semi detached and is a sod to hoover up. Even the dog ended up looking like a duck.
It ought to be of use to someone who enjoys making things so I thought I would offer it.
The only thing I am sure I need is a 26" spare front wheel with a disc brake hub but as they may be a bit much to expect I would happily consider other outdoorsy type things.

Bump
Got my spare wheel from a wrecked bike at the local bike project.
Surely somebody can use this down and create an entry for the MYOG thread?

I was thinking of making an underquilt for my hammock. If you are still considering a swap is there anything else you are looking for?
