SALSA ANYTHNG CAGES

Post by tressell69 »

Just bought 2 Salsa Anything cages and although they look great and are sturdy, they lack additional loops on cage to secure straps whilst riding with nothing in the cages.
I feel Salsa have missed a trick here and this lets down a great cage.
If loops were there the straps could be tensioned and ready to recieve what needs to be carried.
Any ideas on how to lace the straps neatly and securly

I never used the supplied straps. I made some shockcord bungees instead ... much easier / faster than the straps and in my mind, put less stress on the cages.

To answer your question ... can you not just put them in your pocket until required?

Shockcords might be a better idea, elasticity's the answer.
Yep I could put them in my pocket, but its another thing to misplace.

I'm sure there'll be a pic somewhere on here of the ones I made if you have a search about. They worked really well and could be fastened / unfastened in seconds.

The old ones did have slots in them, but I think they were left out of the new ones to increase the strength... Could you do them up round the empty cage?
