HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
According to Alan there were already 25 entrants as of last night, that leaves 15 places ... anyone signed up or about to?
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
Not this year, but I can see this being on the agenda - I blame all the people I was talking to at the BearBones200 and overhearing I think it was Steve Heading and Phill Richmond talking about it on the first road section of the BB200

For me, yes.
Re: HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
I'd imagine Alan is getting a lot more applications this year after last years success and interest. He may be going with some kind of selection criteria, such as people who completed it last year, or have completed similar events (thinking CTR, Grenzsteintrophy).Backcountrybiking wrote:Folks who are saying 'I'm in' how do you know your in? Early days yet, hes probably out riding

Re: HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
I'm tempted to tour it next summer over 2 weeks at a leisurelyish pace. Leave the 'race' for the racersYetiman wrote:Ive been thinking about it but not sure if work will permit may have to ride it on my own

I'm thinking about doing it.....
... in reverse.
I reckon that's the only way I stand a chance of meeting any of the other participants once we leave the start line

Anyone know if Aidan is going to be "defending his title" this year? :)

Wish I hadn't clicked on that link now

Re: HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
As far as I know, he isn't. He'll be paddling a canoe down the Yukon River I think.composite wrote:Anyone know if Aidan is going to be "defending his title" this year? :)

Im with Chew would rather just ride it at my own leisure, less painful. Plus its open to do anytime u want and u can send ur times in as long as u can back it up.
Re: HTR filling up fast - anyone racing?
I put my name down.
Whilst I like the idea of doing it at a leisurely pace, realistically i've not got the time for pottering round.
I'll not be on the podium, but will hopefully get round in 6-7 days.

with travel and the extra mileage its a 7-8 day event realistically so sadly it'll remain on the 'To Do' list as too much time away :(
