frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
possibly looking for a new steel frame, but would love it to be the same geometry as my ti fargo, as it fits me well.
any idea's greatly appreciated.

geometrygeeks.bike
There's a (paid) service on the above site that allows you to search for bikes that have a defined set of geometry lengths/angles.
Never tried it but I like the idea.

Re: frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the Ti Fargo?
Re: frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
The wind changed, time for a new bike

Re: frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
Nothing wrong with it.
But I cracked the frame and now have a brand new replacement.
But now worried it may happen again. So just toying with the idea of selling it and buying something in gas pipe.

And new bikes are always nice

What's the warranty situation with the new frame? But I cracked the frame and now have a brand new replacement.
Re: frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
Salsa give 5 years warranty on Ti frames. To the original owner.
Pretty sure most bike companies only warranty a frame to the original owner. Though specialized do lifetime warranty to the original owner with 2 years passed on to the next owner

Re: frames similar to the Ti fargo, but in tough gas pipe?
Van Nicholas have a lifetime warranty on their Ti bikes and frames, good job really as I'm on my 4th frame in 10 years! 2x Redwood which were both soley used for bike packing trips about 6 times a year, same with a Zion Rohloff specific frame. Currently my beta testing victim is a Rowtag gravel bike, any bets on how long this one lasts. All previous bikes failed with cracks that processed from the welds around the headtube. For the benefit of Scotroutes who will state the opposite experience, I'm a 63 year old, 5'11" 12 stone mincer. The problem is that to date due to changing standards, each rebuild has cost me a significant amount in components. The current bike has cost €2,000 for new drivetrain, finishing kit and wheels.

Singular Gryphon V3? Not many drop bar 29ers with that sort of pedigree. A friend of mine who's opinion I'd give plenty of weight to has the V2 and rates it highly. Looks sorted, similar reach and only a bit less stack, as long as the 480mm C-C seat tube is enough for you?

I've had a Gryphon for a longtime. It's a great bike. Think V2 or maybe V1.
For me at an average height but a bit apey and a totally MTB background I *needed* a decent spacer stack and a high-rise stem, just mentioning, it's not a flaw or problem.
They even do a Ti version (F&F) on special order, last time I asked c.£2k+. I couldn't justify it to myself, not even upgrading the frame to the latest steel version with bolt throughs.
I'd offer Ton a lend but it's only Medium
