Seat Stay Rear Lights

The little rear Light on my seat-stay is not ideal. Have to mount it on the seatstay as rear bag takes up the room on the seatpost.
As its designed for a seat post it tends to point to the sky instead of backwards!

Anyone got any recommendations for any that would work betterer. Are there any designed specifically for seat stays?
Need
- Bright but adjustable to low / flashing mode to make battery last longer
- Prefer something USB rechargeable
- Something that will be a snug fit on seat stay so it doesn't rotate (as near spokes)

Cateye do a range of mounts that will fit to a seat stay and allow the light to be rotated so it is vertical.

I use this one https://www.evanscycles.com/fwe-recharg ... n-EV244786 comes with a seat post mount but it's been well designed so it can clip onto any strap. A bit hard to describe but on the back of the light is a belt clip and in that clip is a keyhole that acts as a quarter turn mount when used with the seat post mount. It clips easily but securely (not come off when I've crashed) to the straps of a Wildcat Tiger harness.

25hrs run time in flashing mode, USB rechargeable

I use a Blackburn Local 20 on the seatstay. Enough options for mode, nice and bright, seems waterproof, easy to use with gloves and it stays put. Not usb but batteries last a long time.

Dedicate bracket that you say you probably don't want but (and I was reluctant at first) I just found it really convenient on my commuter. Fitting is nice and secure too.

Loads brighter and fancier alternatives probably exist but I have two and they seem to keep on trucking so am loath to replace or "upgrade".

Those Alpkit lights would be good if the rubber mounting bands lasted longer. I think the edges where the bands go through the light actually end up cutting through..

I purchased this in my local store recently, mainly on a whim as never see seat stay rear lights in store.
Must say really impressed with them, to the extent going to pick up another and run a pair on my winter bike.

Something a bit different to most is the Chilli Technology "Bike Helmet Light" although it can mount anywhere.
Here's my write up from a few years ago plus pictures of a load of different mounting positions. I still use these today and have them on both seat stays at the moment. I haven't had a repeat of the seal not working so I guess that was a one-off.

I am currently using a Moon Cerberus on my back stay.
Its a great little light and is also visible from both sides, always a plus.
It's USB chargeable and seems to last ages.
It's available from Evans for about £26.
