Now that would be an ambitious 50th expedition in a couple of years. SWMBO has already okayed the expedition idea, I just think she was thinking of something a tad shorter (and closer). I have friends in the Portland area and in NorCal so logistics could work. Food for thought.
I've been camping at Crater Lake (35 miles or so SW of Chemult at the end of the Fremont tier) in June and I remember that as being cold with pockets of snow in gullys so there's probably a narrow window where you have minimal snow and even narrower window for dry trails. I think it rains in Oregon even more than Wales.

Rode around crater lake 2 yrs ago what a stunning area, oh and we had no rain in Oregon for 2 weeks we were there. Maybe we were lucky
Re: Oregon Timber Trail - who's coming?
To be fair my trip to crater lake was pretty much glorious sunshine - every other trip to Oregon and the Portland area was wet though
