I spent ages trying to figure this and eventually did but I can't remember the name of the website (am currently on loo with iPod).

Will take a look on the laptop later and ost the site I now use (is fairly straight forward once you get going).

ok, found it, it's:

http://www.openrunner.com

the only thing i remember being mildly annoying is that you can only delete points from the end of a track and so if you want to shorten a track from the start you need to reverse the track and then delete the end points before re-re-reversing the track again (makes sense once you get going).

i might be able to help if you get stuck.

good luck as everything GPS related seems designed to befuddle!!!

Gairy, up in Brittany/Normandie in summer... hopefully taking the boys (5 and 7) for a bike/camping trip on the Nantes/Brest canal for a few days but your link points to some great easy offroad opportunities too in the area we're staying so I can introduce the lads to some nice French VTT. Might be down your way (approx.) later in year at a mates place in the Alpes Maritime. Cheers.
