IOM end of Aug.
Following a conversation with Chew over the weekend, it appears that there may be another IoM trip planned for the end of Aug and the Manx GP. We went a couple of years ago and had a great time. The race schedule of the Manx isn't as hectic as the TT, so there's plenty of time for riding / exploring.
As a foot passenger the ferry is less than £40 return with your bike, accommodation is obviously free and food plentiful, so it makes for an inexpensive week away.
Dates and further details TBC but if you think you might fancy it, watch this space. BTW, you really don't need to be into motorbikes to appreciate the IoM and even if you're not, the races are a spectacle well worth seeing.

I'm over there in July with family. Hopefully with baby in a trailer :)
But I could be very interested in a trip in August as I'll hopefully be a man of leisure for the summer.

Looking like a good trip, i often go to the MotoGP as my birthday day treat. The ferry is about the same as the car parking charges as silverstone l!
A bit early to commit but may be up little trip, we need some more slow people though

Aside from making sure you're where you want to be when the roads close, there's no need to go anywhere quickly.we need some more slow people though

I'll be there but in theory on a motorbike if I can get the thing back together again in time. Failing that it will be on the bike as per the last two years. Note that getting the cheap foot passenger fair isn't guaranteed. I ended up paying £80 this year as i left it a bit late so worth booking well in advance.

I think my fare will be around £90 but I'm going for 8 days at the start of June ( race week),
That's assuming my new employers let me have my holidays then...if not I may well tag along

Re: IOM end of Aug.
I've just had a quick look at dates and things.
Races are taking place on Mon 27th, Wed 29th and Fri 31st with practice taking place every evening (I assume).
There's a ferry from Liverpool on the 27th @ 11.30am and another returning on Sep 1st @ 16.30. If you went for those, it would likely mean missing the Newcomers race on the Mon but would mean there'd be no rushing about to catch the ferry after the senior on Fri. Anyway, return fair on those sailings for a foot passenger is £56.50 something cheaper may be available but I've not looked.
Going out on the Tue might also be an option.

As long as no one is on holiday off my shift I'll get the time booked next week ,any of the dates for sailing are fine as booking 4 gives me 12 off ,I love 4on4off
