four national parks route
I have plotted a circular route that links together the Moors, Dales, Lakes and Peaks and basically want to share the route with anyone else is interested in doing it. It's roughly 735 miles long (1180km) and includes most of the Lakeland 200, the pennine B.W. and a coast to coast route.
I'm doing it myself at the end of August/ beginning of September (not the ideal time I know) in an anticlockwise direction starting in the North York Moors.
I don't seem able to attach the GPX file only a naf pic to give you an idea of the route. If anybody would like the GPX, I am happy to email it to you. Layla

Re: four national parks route
Good effort Layla ... looks quite mad.
Could I have the gpx file please?
Also, I'll move this over to 'routes'.

Oooh, nice!
I'd be interested in the .gpx if/when it's available.
Not for anytime soon but to go on my (ever expanding) bucket list.

Re: four national parks route
Is there a way for me to put the gpx route up here? All I'm getting is 'extension gpx is not allowed' - apologies IT has never been a strong point.

Re: four national parks route
For anyone wanting the gpx my email address is: layla28@hotmail.co.uk I will hopefully then be able to reply to you with the file attached.
If anyone would is interested in doing it in the near future - I currently live just north of Pickering on the route and am happy to help out providing showers/tools/spares/etc. whilst your on-route, Just drop me an email in advance.

Re: four national parks route
There are a few sites which are really easy to upload a gps file to Layla - ridewithgps, bikemap and gpsies are all straightforward to use and might save you the hassle of sending out dozens of emails. Unless you like doing that of course.
The route looks utterly daft by the way. Have a brilliant ride and keep us posted on your progress.
