hmmm take the 1kg hiplock or no? there's going to be a fair bit of chilling in Turin and (hopefully) Nice, the alps don't worry me theft wise but Cities do.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence you ever tried.

In the midst of a repack...
Random question, but having never flown with tubeless tires, what pressure to they need to be dropped to (if they need to be de-pressured at all)?! Have sudden terror of arriving with exploded tires!

Didn't touch my MTB tyres for Tuscany.
Whatever was in them when I packed the bike was the same as when I returned to Blighty.

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
But.....if they're CX tyres and already at a much higher PSI than a regular MTB pressure then maybe it might be worth lowering them for the flight, you know just in case (up to you, I would).

Sitting in Gatwick north. Ctc bag already getting ragged. Reckon it'll last till I get back but not much more. Will be sleeping with one eye open in terminal. Will be glad to finally get to Turin after the transport ballache today.

Just got up to ride into London for St Pancras and the Thameslink to Gatters. It's chuffing raining. A fact I mention chiefly for the amusement of those who chose to get there yesterday and overnight in the nice, dry terminal. :D

So far so good....
Bike has been accepted as 'excess baggage' at Bristol Airport after some discussion. Fingers crossed they do the same at Brussels.

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
Landed at Brussels. Watched the bike emerge from the plane, box came down the conveyor belt standing up (!) wobbling from side to side with a good ten foot drop inches away. Just as the luggage handler took hold of it the bag begin it left the belt, dropped ten foot and bounced across the runway........
Now waiting for the connection to Turin

It would appear that my bike has decided to do the race with a different pilot on it. Hope it gets Tom round safely :)

Oh, I knew that, just thought it'd changed hands again last minute by the way you'd written that post.
