Yes, seems to have opened a lead up now....
Still a lot of ground to cover though!

Only ever been over the Devil's Staircase once, in the opposite direction, and I sure as hell wouldn't be able to ride up it after 500 miles of riding, there'd be quite a few sections of walking (and swearing).
The gap looks bigger than it probably is: Liam's tracker is on the descent (updated 0 mins ago), Phil's tracker is on the last bit of the climb but updated 5mins ago.

i think the gaps bigger than it looks.
LG updated 6 minutes ago nearly 0.7 miles ahead of PA who tracked 2 minutes ago.

Liam's across the A82, Phil must be just coming up to the King's House.
After such a short stop last night Philip must be knackered. Doubt he can close the gap.

Remember the resolution on the SPOT is +/- 20mins when you take into account both riders.
Anything less than 30mins and I'd not be making any assumptions.

Quite a fast DH section there IIRC - but that is quite a spurt.

From Ba Bridge to Victoria Bridge is a decent (for a four hundred year old packed stone road) surface but it probably feels like the Fort William world cup downhill at this point

Liam is fairly flying! Is the difference between 5 hours and 2 hours sleep playing a part? Interesting to see.
Also interesting to note that Liam was just ahead of Phil Simcocks time at CP8. Phil didn't sleep though so he's fallen behind again. Still very impressive for a 2 hour late start!
Looks like my time is going to be beat by a few people though

I'm assuming at this point, caution has met the breeze

On the train up to the start of the Tuscany Trail and I'm more excited watching dots than thinking about my own impending suffering.
Amazing effort by everyone!
Think someone will be finishing any second.....

No idea what the order is between Ian, Javi and Lee at the moment - it's going to be close!

it would be a gentlemanly thing let Lee Craigie have 3rd place.

Also there is the issue that Lee seemed to miss out a wee section of the route.
We will need to await Alan G's wisdom on this point.

Well done to Liam! Definitely rode his own race/ride.
The next four will/should get under five days but how many more?
