Snow? What I'd give for snow :???: It's 33C and 90% humidity here (Taiwan), you only have to raise an eyebrow to drown in sweat :o

Oh. Sigh. That'll be the sandals, suncream, and corner-knotted hankie back in the cupboard then.

This'll be me instead I reckon:

Yeah good point :-). Actually I've only just spotted the wellies. I'm presuming they're SPD ones. If not I'll have to switch to flat pedals. TBH I'm thinking of doing that anyway.

BTW I think you're a fully paid-up LHC member Artie? Looks like Chew's kindly knocked up a "wimps [that'll be me then] alternative route". I'd have a bit of a job with the 4500 metres business at my advanced age, so would indeed prefer summat a little more, er, leisurely. Curiously the word "pub" featured quite heavily in the alternative. Not sure about the "beach bivi" though with a westerly wind - might end up doing a giant sand-dune impression by the morning. Anyroad, should be a laff whatever.

"Reg"

PS> Great monicker by the way :-). "Do me a favor. Just kick my ass, okay? Kick this ass for a man, that's all. Kick my ass. Enjoy. Come on. I'm not asking, I'm telling with this. Kick my ass."

I'm wondering if I can make it to Trawsfynydd without sleep... if I can, I can get my super powers and I'll be fine for the rest of the ride. :geek:

Don't worry, the Norgies are now saying it's going to warm up a bit and be wall to wall rain. It'll be fine* :-bd

Ignore the weather forecast

Was in Brecon last weekend for a wedding. Forecast said rain, was bright and sunny both days!

It snowed in London yesterday

Sadly I'll be camping with a group of friends in Suffolk this weekend. I will be taking my electric hook up, fan heater and kettle. Sis in law brings a toaster and fridge. :-bd

We have had a little snow today but it largely goes as soon as it stops snowing. I can see that both Plynlimon and the Arans are white on top, so if your route takes you above 500m, you still might see a bit unless things change.
