Still only 25€ pppn (ish) and it's got a pool!

A little closer to town too.
Think that's the one jase mentioned with no secure lock up for the bikes.

Aaah, didn't know that.

A courtyard with all the bikes locked together would be fine I reckon (I'd be happy to do it anyway).

It's out of town and likely to be quiet and dad's. Plus, we're going to be sleeping with them loose next to us in the hills every night after that anyway.

I'm keen to get something booked asap (before everything goes) so ready to commit whenever others are.....

Huh?

Maybe I meant to write 'safe'?

You get the point anyway.

I'm in. Happy to either transfer money once it's booked or to book it for others and get money transferred to me.

The place is now booked for 10 people, and 10 have signed up, so we're full. With 10 of us it works out at under £20 each.

So far there's

I'm struggling to load the maps Taylor posted onto an SD card.... My IT skills aren't great but the instructions appeared easy.

I've downloaded from here:

http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/garmin_de.php

To a zip file. From there I can't get it onto my card

Using a Garmin Oregon and Basecamp.

Any tips?? Thanks

Is there enough space on the card? I had to buy a new card for my garmin 800 as the one that came with it wasn't big enough.
I also struggled to get the maps onto the new card when it was in the Garmin, so I put it in the SD slot in the laptop and then it transferred the maps no problem.

The garmin can now recognise the maps, but I can't see them as I'm not in Italy yet....

It was a case of drag and drop, rather than using Basecamp or other software.

I've bought a new card a put it in the SD slot as I wanted to keep it separate and not risk losing the Garmin supplied maps.
I've tried saving to the card and nothing happened. A drag and drop now shows that there's content on the card but the Garmin won't read it.
Maybe I should ask my 8yr old to do it for me?

You did unzip the file? The garmin needs to see the raw file (can't remember the extension, but it is the same as the OS maps).
