Two parcels today....
One from Cyclemiles with some Gorilla clips and from our own Stu at BB Towers a Gorilla cage.
Thanks for measuring up the clips.
Also picked up some electrical tape to wrap the frame/forks with before attaching them.

Alpkit filet (or whatever the thin one is). Despite being a large in most other of their stuff I've got this is stupidly large, especially in the gut, and I have some timber, so sizing is bizarre
A Tau rear light. £9 of bright red loveliness in a tiny package, the whole thing and accessories / instructions fit in a diddy baggie, so why the flip does it come in a massive, utterly pointless, landfill filling box
Hopefully it's well sealed for use in the GTO. Edit - and the box was in a plastic bag, just in case
Don't get me started on the branded boxes they're now using. Ffs, all unnecessary, extraneous shoite.

Re: The post man's been ...
The Alpkit sale inspired me to order up a couple of bits that I've been pondering. A top tube bag and stem pouch arrived on Saturday. The orange is a bit more ORANGE!!! than I imagined it would be but I suspect that brightness may fade with a bit of use. I've got them so that the wife and I can trial them ahead of Torino-Nice and see if they work for us, so I really want to get them on the bike in the wild. Alas I was busy this weekend, will be busy next weekend and the weekend after that is looking iffy too.
Guess I may have to practice my off-road night riding skills.

Alpkit sale obviously helping boost revenue!
Front and rear Tau lights turned up today for the incoming Brompton. Seemed like such a good price and such a small light that it made sense
Completely agree on the packaging, huge waste

I've been running a Tau all winter - can't fault it. Agree though - packaging was a bit much.

A big box of 50ml fuel bottles ... thought they might be just the right size for a single overnighter.

Nope, on this occasion (to keep stuff matching) I went with fluoro yellow for the luggage, red bivi bags and kelp tarps.
Don't want it getting mixed up with my kit!

A pair of bi-focal riding glasses from Amazon. Yay, now I can read the etrex on the bars without grubbing out my readers every few yards.

Cheap, but I do look like Ming the Merciless (you know, from "Flash Gordon") in them.

4 x AA Energizer Recharge "extreme" batteries for Steripen. "Normal" rechargeables do the job but show low battery reading. Oh, and a set of Hope Tech 3 V4 brakes (20% discount Westbrook Bikes) which should really be on the mantelpiece as works of art. No point having them on the bike anyway as crashing into things normally stops me perfectly adequately.

Alpkit Possum size small, it's all that'll go in my frame! Perfect for a multi tool, some lube, a tube and a Hope ES battery. Might even squeeze a few emergency gels into the small pocket.
