I have a Triangia 1 litre fuel bottle that is 8cm in diameter (i.e. bigger than a normal bottle) and I want to put it on the 3rd set of bottle cage mounts on the underside of my downtube.
Anyone done this?
Do I use a:
Monkey cage
Gorilla cage
Bike buddy cage
Something else?

Depends how tall it is but if it's normal bottle height, I'd use a Monki V cage. Gorilla is too big really.Do I use a:
Monkey cage
Gorilla cage
Bike buddy cage
Something else?
Always thought Bikebuddy was good too, although more fiddly to set-up.

It's 28cm tall so slightly taller than a 'standard' water bottle.
Figured gorill cage was too big diameter wise but wondered if monkey cage was ok with that length?

I've used the Bike Buddy Mk3 for exactly this: little fiddly to set up but works a treat. No problems with stability or durability.

I've used a normal strong metal or plastic cage with a toestrap round the DT and bottle upper area to stop it bouncing around, works fine for the 800ml bottle I have.
