Inspired to ride movie
Is the "Inspired to ride" movie worth the £5.17 that it is to download this weekend with the promo code?

I quite enjoyed it but I wouldn't pay full price, for a fiver I'd say it's worth it.

Does anyone have the DVD I can borrow? The chances of me being able to download it, fall somewhere between none and f**k all.
May the bridges you burn light your way

If there's the chance of a squint at the DVD, I'd happily make a donation to a charity. The wifi here is so poor a download would be near impossible.

Done but didn't fully read the instructions and it appears I can only stream it and not download it.
Still probably worth it for a couple of quid

I've loaned my copy to a friend, when I get it back you can have it.

I did the 4.4GB largest size but I plugged in an ISDN cable to speed it's download up.
Gonna watch it soon

I hit down load for the HD version - on my phone!
Maybe I didn't think that through, will give me something to watch at work or anywhere else for that matter! Plays fine though :)

Don't want to be teaching you to suck eggs, but unless you have stupid quick interballs (or really slow wi-fi), the bottleneck will most likely be the modem to the internet, rather than the bit between your modem to your laptop...JohnClimber wrote:Ok maybe not an ISDN cable buy the one that connects your modem to your laptop in this generation

Re: Inspired to ride movie
I succeeded in a minor miracle last night and downloaded it.
I rode the route in 2011 and recognised many of the points along the way. It is astonishing the daily mileages these guys were covering.
As Mike Hall said, anyone that thinks that the Rockies are the toughest climbs on the route are mistaken. The roads in the west were built much later for cars and trucks so their gradients are much shallower for their winters. The climbs from the east across the Appalachian mountains, the Ozarks and the endless rollers across Kentucky, although shorter are much steeper, add the crushing heat and humidity and the challenge is magnified.
The scene where Mike Hall leaves the Post Office in Vesuvius VA in the dark after what sounded like an already tough day leads to a seven mile wall of a climb up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. That's superhuman in my book.
I wonder how the race would have change had Jason the spizz packer had simply eaten out of diners and petrol stations rather than hauling those huge bags of powder on his bike and back?
Top film, I might try and download Ride the Divide too.
