Didn't say, but I don't have a date preference.
Someone did ask me if I wanted to do the YD300, but I'm not convinced they could survive it.

Not as such ... however, I will break out the big burny stand thing and cut some logs. The result will be a big fire you can stand round, drink beer and get all 'Salsa' without leaving a big black patch on the grass ... is that near enough?
& Wifi
Can you bollocks.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Blimey I got worried then when I read that the dates may change as Im off in June but just looking at my shifts I'm also off the 2nd 3rd yes!!
So I'm good for either weekend prob July dates work actually better for me. As for the price that's fine :0)

Sounds great.
Plus one for beer & meat.
And the chance to faff about looking at bikes and gear you don't yet own a version of yourself.
Either weekend good.

Can I ask where this will be?
Seems "Bear Bones Towers - somewhere in wales" isn't on the satnav
After reading that some of you are riding from Bristol...im starting to wonder if should man up and plot a course from closer to home, you know, in keeping with the spirit of things

Feed SY19 7BH into the satnav ... it'll get you within a mile or so.

I'll be doing the "park around the corner" version. I may spray myself with mud and lie about how far I had to come...

I may have to find a compromise between a lift and riding, it'll be a 75 mile trip north for me.
Now while I have done 70 miles in a day before, that wasn't fully loaded....or straight over the Brecon beacons, which incase you didn't know, isn't exactly flat

I'm tempted to take a few days each side off work, and cycle from home.
I'm sure I could find somewhere to camp in Shropshire to have a rest prior to toiling on into Wales.
Looks like almost all of it would have to be on road, but almost all country lanes rather than major roads.

I was looking at riding in from Shrewsbury and I think I've got a reasonable route there with a reasonable mix of back roads and offroad. It's just it's quite a pull back on Sunday if I've availed myself of the free beer on Saturday night. hmm.

Glad to see that people are considering making a proper ride / trip .... after all, the journey is often more important than the destination.
free beer
What a strange notion.

Let me know if you're going to keep to that arrangement and there can be a convoy from the east as well :)
