Unfortunately, due to a handful of mechanicals, I only got as far as Old Street roundabout this morning (no gpx available).

I'm going to spend the day fixing my bike, I might be able to at least get out to Surrey tonight.

That was my first BB event!

I got back about twenty minutes ago. managed just under 160Km with 3300m of ascent. I did have ideas (above my station) of visiting all the GRs but a wrong turn, or rather not making a turn, just after Nant-y-Moch reservoir meant about 30Km in to the wind and rain on the A44 Any ideas I had about getting the two points on the ridge between there and Elan went out of the window as I was really suffering in the conditions. I rolled in to Rhayader just after 5pm and while the pub (The Crown) was serving food, I was putting out more heat than the fire I bivvied out on Glyndwr's Way a couple of Km north of Bwlch y Sarnau: I'd got the tarp up when the wind decided it was going to blow in to the opening, a panic search (my light had gone to emergency mode about twenty minutes earlier and I didn't know how long it would last) found a calf creeper http://www.agritec-uk.co.uk/prod/97/calf-creep-feeders so I kipped in there. Today I decided to keep to the roads as much as possible and got back to Llanbrynmair at about 1pm.

Apart from riding with Single Speed George near the start I saw no-one else for the two days and by no-one, other than a single MTB rider I didn't see anyone even in the distance from leaving the A489 near Machynlleth until getting to the A44 at Ponterwyd. Anyone else I saw was in a car. SSG: sorry I forgot to introduce myself.

Edit: I must have been slightly befuddled. I called in at a services on the way home to get a coffee and gave the car a bit of a tidy, which included throwing my biking wallet ( a small plastic bag) in to the bin. Bin diving is not the most edifying end to a weekend.
