It attaches with 4 cable ties ... they pull in opposing directions which is a nice touch. The rear is concave and has rubber pads to help prevent any slippage. So far, it's fitted every fork I've tried it on. I still need to try it properly but I have high hopes.
New On One BSC Type 1 tyres for Dan's Genesis Longitude. 29x2.30" - £14.99 each. Thanks, John Climber for putting him onto these. We've saved a packet and they look cool. 50 mile test ride tomorrow - flat, coastal and into a gale.

I was reading about those on the bikepacking.net site, you can get them in the UK for roughly the same price. Be interesting to hear how you get on with it, It sound like it would be worth it for "race mode"

Just check the sizing, I've heard some people say that it's not big enough to fit a sleeping bag inside ... ie, it's still an emergency bivvy rather than a 'real' one

The comments I've seen are about not being able to lie out fully and cover your head. I'm not sure about the volume/circumference but if it was summer/race mode only use then it would just be for a lightweight sleeping bag or even just a silk liner.

An Exped Schnozzle bag - worth it just for the name
Actually I got it because on the living room test inflation of the synmat I noticed that my breath had created a small patch of condensation about 30cm from the valve. It's bigger than I expected and is made of lighter material than Exped's Dry-bags. I'm thinking it could be triple-use: dry bag for inside of main bag; pad inflator; pillow.
Need a test run before I try it in anger methinks.

I'm not intending to put a sleeping bag in it. I've got a Terra Nova Moonlite which is a superlight bivi bag that I use with a sleeping bag - this is to carry as a race weight emergency sleeping bag, where it's debatable whether I'll need it or not. I've taken a Blizzard bag before, but never had to use it and hope not to as they're horrible to repack.
This seems to be a Tyvek style material albeit with reflective coating
