Partial frame bag

Post by Charliecres »

Another rainy day and Germs are keeping me off my bike so thought I'd whip the sewing machine out and run off a small frame bag. I'm hoping this will discourage me from carrying too much food, which I always seem to do.

Next project will likely be a smaller seatpack or holster, for the same reason. My existing one's great but it's hard to cinch up tight with a small load.

Nice work

Out of interest, having not made one or not ever having the skills to make one, what made you put the zip in that position? (Rather than higher up)

Good question. I've put the zip higher when making full frame bags but thought it might restrict the entry on a smaller bag with a shorter zip run. In practice, this works well - nothing's going to spill out and it gives a good big opening.
