+1 to that Greg.
Within reason I'm not too fussed about weight, usually of more concern is bulk/volume, I consider myself a decent packer but still struggle to get what I need (not what I'd like or want) in to the baggage without resorting to a rucksack of some description.

Less cake in the cake hole.
FWIW, I never weigh kit. I do weigh myself.
Not worried about it? But so far I think I've reduced the weight of kit by about 2kg, hopefully makes it a little easier on sections where I have to push he bike and keep on manoeuvring it around farmers gates. Nothing wrong in reducing a little weight to help enjoy the ride a little more.
I only weigh 67.4kg so my weight is not an issue and how did you know I did not have much body fat?

So far I cycle around 300 miles a month by just commuting to work on a fixed gear 48x16, this helps keep the fitness up and the body fat down.
Also, with me trying to get a little kit weight down in some areas I am happy with, will help offset the extra weight I carry in other areas.
I find that I really sleep cold (maybe it's my low body fat) so I have to have what people might says winter kit a little early in the year. Also I like to use a tent, it's a vango ultralite 200 which I like. It's around 1.3kg all in, so not too bad in weight.
I think my times doing biviing in the army and having to sleep next to a SA80 has reduced my enjoyment of biviing.

However, I can never see the use in carrying round more weight (and bulk) than you need. Surely, regardless of how much you weigh, fitness, etc, pedalling / pushing / carrying something lighter will be less tiring, easier on the mind and body and generaly nicer. You don't even need to spend any money to do it, you just need to adopt the right mindset.
You are kidding?Less cake in the cake hole.

May the bridges you burn light your way

The ultralight backpackers (the 'merican type not the student hippies) firmly believe in incremental gains, we all know the example of cutting down a toothbrush to save weight, and a few grams here and there add up quick
But regardless of how much lighter or faster these incremental gains make us, isn't our very hobby almost absurdly focused on weight? If not for its own sake, sometimes the challenge to cut down can be a hobby in itself
Although I agree with the comment on bulk, unlike backpacking id rather take something heavier but more compact/packable to fit on the bike better
And join the featherweight brigade, I weigh just over 57kg and desperate to bring my body fat ABOVE 6%

I bought a titanium fire maple spoon. Its really small.....teaspoon sized. Too small for me to use as a normal spoon.

Stir with the arm of your sunglasses. Titanium arms of course.

I forgot to take a spoon once. On my video, The Lighthouse, I am seen eating breakfast. You can't tell what I'm eating (porridge), nor what I'm eating it with, but it was in fact a tyre lever
