Can't open as in can't download, or an error in a mapping program? The following should work:
Right click the link and "Save link as...", then open it up in Tracklogs, Bikehike, Route Buddy or any other mapping program that supports GPX format.

When I open it, it's a page of garbled text. It worked using bikehike.

Cheers

You get used to it..., I don't even see the code. All I see is...bend, climb, descent...*

* adapted quote from a movie ;)

GPX is just an XML markup language I think.
Copy into Notepad and save with a GPX file suffix and it'll work.
