Hello! :)

Post by bryanwadd »

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd say hello... "Hello!"

Having done some lightweight backpacking, and had thoughts about doing the same thing on a bike, it's great to discover the world of bikepacking! ... I'm planning on riding LEJOG offroad next year.

Cheers

Take it you've found the gravlejog thread?
May the bridges you burn light your way

Thanks everyone.

I'm currently riding a Specialized Crosstrail Sport for commuting and exercise but I have a Canyon Grand Canyon on order which I'm really looking forward to... got a few more weeks to wait yet though!

I had found the graveljog thread, I think I can glean some good info from it although I'm planning on a more leisure pace.

Hello! Sounds cool I use to have a canyon down hill bike (not for bike packing) it was the best thing I ever had, so if there xc bikes are as good you will be on to a winner!

It's a bit of a lottery when you can't ride them beforehand so fingers crossed. Having said that though I have felt that there is not a great deal to test by riding a bike around a car park outside a cycle shop, although checking the fit and feel is pretty important... even in a car park.

I am really looking forward to it though, it's suppose to be pretty good, about 3 weeks until dispatch I think :)
