Been off the radar somewhat but still be doing my 'normal' rides out on the fat bike locally. However, I have been in control of a full suss fat bike for a couple of months. I was testing it for Fat-bike.com. Here's the link to my (first ever) review so please be gentle

Ha, tbh it was extremely difficult to fault it. I know I needed to throw a few negatives in there but just couldn't find any

Just waiting for my next big box to be delivered now.......

You sure the 40lb weight for a 4.5K bike (regardles of the cause of that weight) isnt a negative?

Easy 40 miles over Wenlock Edge twice...one of those days where it was good to be alive and riding a bike. Weather could do with being like that all year round. Achy knees today.

Rode from Oxenholme over to Garsdale on Wednesday evening, had 4h of "sleep" above Dent Fell and then rode down the PBW to Hebden.

The top bit was excellent, even in the pouring rain. The approach to Calderdale had some nice riding too and the sun was out. The bit inbetween was a bit meh - mile after mile of skirting round field boundaries, non existent tracks, cow poo, sheep poo, more cow poo, several fields with angry bulls and a few farms with unfriendly looking dogs...

I had two and a half weeks off the bike with my family on a holiday that can best be described as eating everything in sight. Today I rode a fifty mile loop I do most weeks and utterly died on my arse. Amazing how much fitness you can blow in the USA.

Two decent rides on the Stoater in the past 24 hrs; 64km and 90km. My singlespeed legs struggling to adapt the gears. With SS, you go at some stuff full gas, then when the gradient lets up, you rest, which I can repeat for quite a long time.

The Stoater is the kind of bike that eggs you on a bit, and being geared I've just gone at everything hard all the time until .... bonk.

Need to work on my pacing a bit...

Rode about 50 miles with Jeff (SummitToppler) around Clocaenog Forest and Llyn Brenig.
We bivied at 500ft and could see our breath in the evening, it was hard to believe it was the first of August.
It rained heavy on route to the ride, met up at 4.30pm, rode in the dry to the bivi spot, it rained 4 hours overnight but stopped by 7am, we left shortly after for a sausage butty at the café and back to the car just as the sun came out.

Finally managed to get out for a longer ride yesterday, not far but long enough to see how it is over a few hours in the saddle. Very comfy in fact, and I don't need anywhere near as much set back as I was expecting so that post can go(saddle kept slipping, not sure why as it seemed tight enough?) just need to order a new 60mm stem and get a C17 in black, tart, me?

oh and trim that steerer.....

Lovely ride and HAB last night...left Shrewsbury, HAB up the east side of Pontsbury Hill, around the back of the Mynd down to Bridges, up to Stiperstones, along a piece of the EWE track and back home. Shropshire Way on top of Stiperstones is no place for rigid forks and cycling shoes.

just ventured not to far from home today,
had a run around the top loop from ians peak itt.
loads of sun , some fantastic views ,
the wind was blowing a gale when I hit the pennine bridleway slowing my speed to only 5mph all the way down, took about 7 hours for the top loop
may venture and do the bottom half next week

I had limited time this weekend but made it down the M40 to the Ridgeway. Arrived late 8pm but probably a blessing with the heat. Did the Ivanhoe out and back 56miles before heading back up the road

Me & my beard were flying the Bear Bones flag at the 'Ard Rock Enduro 'All Mountain Challenge' this weekend..

Was uncharacteristically late setting off

so had to battle a bit getting through traffic on the first few sections. There was some long draggy ups & some really ace enjoyable downs. After getting past about 200 other riders i manged to finish 21st overall & 8th in my category so hopefully didn't dishonor the shirt too much!

The shirt also got a shout from a young lady who was with a group that looked familiar from one of the BB events. Can't quite place the faces yet, but it might come to me! Was a really good organised event & would recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind this sort of thing.

Nice ride along the Severn Way this arvo...knees won't hurt tonight thanks to the inevitable nettle whipping that comes with overgrown walkers trails. Got my upper body workout sorted with all the gates and lifting Lois over 'em.

5th and final round of the Midlands Summer CX series tonight. Had a bad race after having a stomach bug at the start of the week, but still held on to 2nd overall in the league (in the Vets). Quite pleased with that.

did the other bit of the Ridgeway this weekend (M40 to Avebury) with a cracking view from the Bivi
Saw all sorts the 'Crop Circle Mobile information Unit' was out at the latest creation near Avebury, and I got to see the native AlanG in his natural habitat (he caught me up going up a field, and kindly rode a bit, chatted and held the gate as I fell behind) Thanks Alan
