Classic TT trip.
My rough plan is to ride up to Liverpool, jump on the ferry, spend a few days exploring the island, see a bit of racing, get the ferry back and ride home again.
It's at the end of Aug, ferry prices appear to be around £45 return ... sound like something anyone might fancy?

Don't torment me. Last time I tried that, with limited time due to family, the ferry didn't work out for me
Hope you boys have a good trip though

If I wasn't on child duty for pretty much all the summer holidays, I'd have signed up in a flash.

Re: Classic TT trip.
Hmm
Theres an idea, did it loads of times on various dodgy old Brit bikes so doing it on the pedally one would make a nice change... would need to be back in time for the Borders 350 tho..... Book early as the ferries get rammed pretty quick.

Re: Classic TT trip.
I've not been to the Island for years and in all honesty most of my time was spent either covered in oil, outside Bushys or admiring the 'dancing ladies' in the Lido

Re: Classic TT trip.
Well, I got as far as ordering the map last night only to discover this morning that I won't be going ... not that week anyway.
Apologies for getting anyones hopes up but obviously feel free to carry on regardless.

Not on the trip but I'm based not far from the ferry... if you want to stop off for an overnighter I can put a few people up and offer free B&B

Re: Classic TT trip.
Okay, Chew has just booked the ferry
Here's the details for anyone who may fancy it.
Departing Liverpool on Thursday Aug 27th @ 10.30am
Return Liverpool on Wednesday Sep 2nd @ 16.30 from Douglas
Those dates meant a 'Footloose' deal was available which cost £36 each return.
I shall be meandering my way to Liverpool from Bear Bones Towers and Chew will be riding from Halifax.
