Just to say that my Symat failed. Used about 15 times including Ford Fiesta and WRT (plus 2.5 weeks getting to WRT).

The middle 2 tubes have joined into one.

I have sent it back to OutdoorGB but they have to send it back to somewhere else and they will take 7 days. Problem as I leave for my next tour on Friday.

It was comfy and great to use until this failure, but that is not a very long life :-(

Oh that's not so good...

Although hopefully will be a warranty replacement. I know folk say that neoair mats are not so robust but mine has done 100+ nights, sometimes directly in the ground. Shows some signs of the silvery stuff coming off inside but still air tight and comfy

I recommend the pillow pump. 1 bit of kit - 2 uses!
Going by user reviews on another forum the schnozzle pump has 3, (lightweight)dry bag, pump and pillow...top trumps...

The Schnozzle is superb. I use mine as an inner drybag for my sleeping kit ... also inflates a mat very, very quickly :-bd

I made my own pump bag using a pedal bin bag and a piece of plastic tube taped through one of the corners.

Has anybody seen the UL for sale in the UK?

My mat has gone the same way as dave's above. I was going to use it this weeeknd so could do with one sooner rather than later.

Dave, have you looked at the new Exped Hyperlite mats? Medium weighs 344g and still looks plenty big enough.

My Synmat was replaced in time for my trip at no charge. The replacement has worked faultlessly for the 8 consecutive nights I have used it for since. The insulation hasn't started to get in the way of the valve as it did with the first. So very happy with outdoors gb.
