What is really getting me is websites that haven't been updated in what seems like years with no dam stock!

i just got an email politely informing me that after 10 days of sitting in their asses someone finally noticed that the sleeping mat i ordered wasn't in stock (and wasn't likely to be anytime soon - no date offered).

now i'll be lucky to get one delivered before my next trip and then we leave for the uk and so maybe it's better to get one sent there and sleep badly here rather than risk it arriving in france after we've left.

buggeroo!!!

this is getting silly!

the guys (TrekInn) who told me they couldn't get my item in stock (and who never responded to my call to cancel the order and refund my money) have just delivered the item.

so....i now have two new mats.

1 Mammut 'Comfort Pump' and 1 'Neoair Trekker'!!!

it's a shame as the Neoair is cheaper and the customer service from The Outdoor Shop has been brilliant (as opposed to the faceless corporate goons at TrekInn) but i reckon my chances of getting a refund from TrekInn is much lower than from the nice folks at The Outdoor Shop.

so it's looking like i'll be using my new Mammut mat in wales a week tomorrow - fun, fun, fun!
