Re: The post man's been ...
My sj4000 turned up yesterday so I am looking forward to trying it out.
Also just had a nice trip over to Buxton to pick up the inbred and carbon forks from ianfitz. Very happy indeed with it, looking forward to getting some wheels and building it up at the end of the month!

New haglofs cycling jacket, active shell. Lat one in stock, £60 instead of £250
Didn't think they would have it in but it arrived today, well happy!

My new sleeping bag has finally been finished and I picked it up earlier on! While I know it looks thin and cold and flimsy, first impressions are that its very light, more substantial than I was expecting and actually really nice

New Ti 29er frame for the Lauf Forks.
They look good together (IMHO) and be interesting what they look like with the green rimmed wheels off the Niner that IanFitz now has.

Really nice frame that John, looking fwd to seeing it all built up & hearing how the forks perform

Ever Feel Like You're Being Orbited?!
Re: The post man's been ...
Did the new forks have a similar green on them? I'm not usually fussed how my bikes look but that frame is lovely. I hope it looks as good when it's built up.JohnClimber wrote:

I'd say they look more like WTB Dirt-drops than Chippers ... this isn't a bad thing. These are Ison's version of the Woodchippers, but with nice flat sections on the drops

I can ride "on the hoods" and have 4 finger braking (if needed) as they are splayed out nicely they are like a cross between drop bars and Jones H bars

The ride around the block was great but full ride will be done this weekend

I know it's wrong but I can't help but like it ... although the forks do look like they're 1/10 of a bizarre musical instrument.

^^ That saddle position?
Today I received a very lovely Wildcat Leopard framebag, full-wrap top loop, downtube/seattube bolt-on to the bottle bosses. Side is gate-opening. All in digi-camo. Oh yes!

Geax AKA tyres, bit worried about the tread (or lack of it) compared to old tyres but after a short ride in some slick conditions they preformed much better than expected

Re: The post man's been ...
