Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Anyone rate the Rab ignition 2XL sleeping bag. Got a mate who is well long and looking for a bag to get into bivying. Is 1150g a reasonable weight for this money?
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Well I've had my eyes on a Rab alpine jacket (pertex equilibrium) for a while now. Thing is, I want the blue one and they don't do my size, but they do have my size in green..but green isn't my colourIan wrote:Lots of good deals on Rab over at SportPursuit, a lot at 50% off: http://www.sportpursuit.com/sales/rab-feb

Been on the lookout for a cheap down gillet for a while, I was about to hit the buy button but decided to have a little look to see if there was anything else out there when I came across this: http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/regatta-ice ... et-p304800Yorlin wrote:Cotswold sale is full of the usual guff but a £45 (down from 90) puffa vest thing... Thanks for the tip Stu, needed something to replace some of the aging and leaking alpkit stuff

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I got a pair of Conti X king tyres in 2.4 flavour. Available for £25 a pair from the good guys at 18 bikes in hope.
I think there's some other conti styles too.
It's a new compound and conti are looking for some feedback. Just take you wheels in and they will swap your tyres over for you.
I'm pretty sure that conti insist on that to prevent them being re-sold.

I dont have a 29er frame at the moment, but am giving it serious considerations! Are these wheels any good? http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPOOTW29/o ... et-29-inch £80 seems a bit of a bargain, thought it appears to be for the 9mm front & rear option.

I've a pair of those rims hung up in the workshop, they seem okay. I think, if you're considering building a budget 29er they'd be a good starting point.I dont have a 29er frame at the moment, but am giving it serious considerations! Linky no worky, but are these the reetard wheels? If so i've had some new to me ones on my single speed for a couple of years & after the crap original bearings were replaced with some bobby dazzler enduro ones they've been spot-on.Zoglug wrote:I dont have a 29er frame at the moment, but am giving it serious considerations! Had a front pringle when a mate fell on it, but it straightened out no probs..
Had no experience if it's a geared freehub version though..
