PSA: 2 for 1 on fibreflare lights.
With the dark nights coming I thought this might be of interest.

Was just talking with my mate that I go through back lights like Dave goes through expletives. Lost another one on the BB200.
Ordered, thanks for the link.

Have these been improved or are they different to the ones that died at the mere thought of a light shower?
Old:

I always thought they looked spiffy but the (internet) reports of poor sealing etc put me off

I've been using one on my road bike including some very wet rides (Dunwich Dynamo this year for one). Been totally reliable so far and the battery life has been amazing.

Does it actually say fibre flare in the ad? Looks similar, probably better not being fibre flares which seemed to be hopeless in the wet.

Well mine arrived today.
Combined with an exposure flare i might actually be a hazard. Not uugely convinced how they'll last in rain though.

Re: PSA: 2 for 1 on fibreflare lights.
Just wondered how people had gone on with these over the winter? As I am just about to start commuting on my bike again I need to try and make myself a little more visible which is tough with limited space to place lights.
Re: PSA: 2 for 1 on fibreflare lights.
I have used mine throughout the winter and it hasn't filled with water which is what worried me. The light itself I'm very happy with in terms of it's fixings and brightness.
I have however in that time had 2 instances of what seems like a loose connection. It has only been a quick instance of it each time but the second time I did manage to get a video of it.

I have emailed Paul at Chili tech and he said he would send me a replacement. That was 10 days ago and I haven't received a new one yet. I have followed it up today though with another email.

Mines are still going strong but
I don't like the mounting very much for strapping to stays etc
