Genesis Fortitude Adventure 29er - SS (heavily modified)

Post by JonandBandit »

This bike is the ultimate bike-packer. It's a rigid, steel, 29er with 3 water-bottle cage mounts and 2 Anything Cage mounts.

It's been converted to Single Speed and significantly modified from when it was purchased. Spec as follows:

HS: Hope
F Wheel: Hope Hoops on DT Swiss 470
R Wheel: Hope Pro2 EVO on Stan's Crest
H Bar: Jones Loop Bar
Saddle: Specialized Phenom
Seat Post Clamp: Hope

Everything is in excellent working order, but note that the frame has some significant rubs on it down to bare metal. This is from where my bike luggage has been in contact with the frame. Basically, it's a high spec'd, high performance bike - but it's a bit ugly (or characterful!).

I'll upload photos on the weekend (7 Feb).

I rode the frame on the 2012 Tour Divide. I'm sorry to see it go but needs must.

£800 ONO. Pick up from Colchester, Essex.

17.5 (Medium).

I'm 5'10, it probably wouldn't be suitable for anyone taller. My brother is 5'8 and described it as 'a perfect fit'.
