Possible downsides against the OO Fork are a similar or higher price and being tapered and/or QR15.

I have the White Bros Snowpack fork on my 9:ZERO:7. Given previous experience, I'd bet it's exactly that same as the Exotic one, but with a different badge.Ben98 wrote:Has anyone seen/is using, an exotic carbon fork on their fat bike? That would likely drop a chunk of weight and i think they look better than the on one carbon fork as well
I've used the Exotic fork on my 29er and it's just fine so I'd have no qualms about using one on a fatbike.
The profile of the fork makes strap-on bottle cage mounts a dawdle too.

13.5 kg.
Ti-frame, carbon fork, heavy dyno hub and probably one of the heaviest tyre combo available.

you must use carbon frame, carbon wheel to save the weight.

Any suggestions on where one might buy one of these essential items?tonyjaa wrote:you must use carbon frame, carbon wheel to save the weight.

Re: What weight is a fat bike?
I became fat curious a few months back and with OO Fatty's at £800 (at that time) decided to give it a go and was prepared to lose a couple of hundred notes if it didn't suit me. Since November have been having an absolute blast and the Fatty is my first choice bike for my local patch rides. Before the first ride the 38lbs weight was a little concerning but I ride it uphill faster than my 31lb Trance 29 and in the current sloppy conditions, downhill faster too.
Whilst bike weight is obviously important, my experience has got me thinking that fit, geometry and rider weight should be sorted first

Absolutely. But try telling that to all the roadies whose bikes weight less than their bellies!McGroo wrote: rider weight should be sorted first
