I've just bought a rf ride 100mm crank for the pugs just been to put it together and I can't get my middle ring to fit?? The whole line up but the resesses on the crank arnt big enough to take the middle ring by about three mm? I want to run this as a triple. Its a exi crank?? Wtf....have I got the wrong one or do I have to buy a special ring now please guys
I'm lost.....
Oh and the spacer rings that come with it any idea how many go on which side for chain line on pugs?? It has a fixed front mech so this is the size of one ring 2.5mm
Help me I'm missing something

I'm not really with you ... are you saying that the hole centres in either the crank or ring aren't 104mm?
May the bridges you burn light your way

Mike,
Did the rings come off a Shimano crank?
If they did then that's your problem and you are going to have to get your file out or shell out for sir Race Face chainringa!
IME Shimano have started making the rings a little bigger so you can't put them on other cranks and also you can't put other makes on Shimano!
A lesser man might say some conspiracy going on to make you buy from Mr Shimano only, but obviously I would never brleive that!!!!
Any road up, your best way out of the pickle is to file about 1.5mm off each leg of the chainring, be careful but it's not precision engineering! When the chainring fits then insert all the bolts, tighten up and you should be sorted!!
Hope that helps!
