Not the postman but I got given a pair of brand new road tyres that fit 650b wheels on the way home - very kindly given to the boys by a cyclist I regularly pass on my commute home. Max was very happy as I have been telling him if he skids his way through the tyres he has on now he's paying for the next one . . .
Decided against joining in with the UK Hammocks order (apols flv) and ordered an As Tucas Sestrals 2 quilt in his new Schoeller ecorepel material. Very bright green colour (chosen by my son)- feels great, very light and great service and comms from Marco. Will give it a test out in the right conditions soon...
Should fit nicely into the Hunka XL that arrived the other week.
I, too decided not to join the UK Hammocks quilt order (sorry FLV) and the nice Parcelforce guy brought me a Cumulus Quilt 150. Cheers for the review Stuart. Am looking forward to using it.
Very light, excellent workmanship!
Got to go away until fairer climes reach our shores, but summers coming sometime......... if it stops snowing!
Postman came yesterday and left me a little red card, I was a bit confused as I wasn't expecting anything . .
So today I left the warmth of my office at lunch and did the fast walk/slide to the post office to collect my surprise. Any normal Wednesday the trip is just a hurried walk there and back . . . But today we had snow, lots of slushy wet snow . . . And as I'd ridden to work with my normal.office clothes in a bag I wasn't exactly dressed for the conditions. . . . So I arrive at the post office cold, wet and windswept with very soggy shoes from a surprise encounter with a huge puddle . . .And collected a box . . .
I recognised the address of the sender and laughed - yes of course it was my coffee pot and new specialist burner from Stu - it had to be from Stu because he is the only person responsible for me ending up outdoors in challenging conditions and usually with soggy feet - he's obviously developing this into a super power that can work beyond the Welsh border - be warned!
Parcelforce very kindly left the boxes containing my CRC bike bag, SKS Raceblades, neoprene overshoes and Lezyne pump in the unlocked porch. Good to know that they completely ignore the request to leave it with neighbours. This is despite them sending me a text this morning, in the style of DPD (the kings of parcel delivery) asking how I would like to have my parcel delivered.
However, I can now winterise the road bike, and also bag it up to take it to Spain at Easter
Took a chance on a bargain medium *cough* women's Racebak. Despite my less than ample bosom there's a small chance it'd go on but no chance of it ever coming off again.

poppy arrived today left with a neighbor, thought we,d been forgotten ordered it as soon as the news had given the details on how to buy one,
made me chuckle dave,
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.
If everyone else is going with those vests, then I may have to get one myself. Was avoiding them as wanted my back to be breathable as possible but the masses speak volume...

I have one, there is not a cat in hells chance I'll be wearing it in Finland!
Hmmm, I'll check availability tomorrow in work and I'll have a think. Medium women's must be a size 12, which should fit me (can't believe I'm typing this...) How much did it set you back?
Was hoping to just use flasks and keep my back free?! Hmmm, decisions
I got the zip fronted gillet version. Reviews are somewhat scarce online, but I managed to deduce that you needed to size up, so I got a large. Used on a couple of rides now, and it is much more comfortable than a conventional camelbak. Will be using it for Rov.
