can anybody recommend a small flask

Post by FLV »

For hot drinks / soup?

I'd like a very small and very light one. I could take the pot and stove but in more thinking for ease on longer day ride outs.

I know I can get a generic stainless one but my experience of these in years gone by has varied greatly so thought someone might have already done the leg work for me.

These are convenient and nice to use http://www.trail42.co.uk/products/pack- ... h-grey-lid but they won't stay hot for a whole day. Good for maybe 3 hours in zero degrees if pre-warmed.

I've got one somewhere made by biologic. It fits in a bottle cage :-)

You can drink from a closible spout thing or take lid off to drink from the wide neck

I've got a few small thermos type flasks, but my favourite is my Zojirushi, fantastic little thing

Yeah, I've got one, its ok but the lid is the thermal weakspot. Maybe make a foam cosy?

I had a short fat Primus brand thermos... it was great in terms of keeping stuff hot, but the lid developed a leak very quickly, so a bad seal I think... a quick google tells me it was a Primus Lunch Jug. Maybe I got a bad one?
